Weight: 6 kg
Materials: photoprints, glass, and wood
These lightboxes are handmade in the studio. Each piece contains five glass plates with printed transparencies layered between them. This technique creates a strong sense of depth and enhances an X-ray–like visual effect.
The work allows you to look through the tree, as if viewing a cross-section. By combining slices taken at different heights, the piece reveals the transformation of a 27-year-old tree — growing, bending, splitting, and sometimes being damaged over time.
The result is a unique artwork from a limited edition that also functions as a light source.
The box is made from birch plywood and operates with a 220V adapter. It comes with a 2-meter power cord. The piece can be displayed standing or mounted on the wall using the hook on the back.
Tip: The lightbox can be connected to a dimmer, allowing you to adjust brightness and create different atmospheres.
This work is part of the project Time Document of One Tree.
