Project Description

Title: Walk to the Light, Dance with the Shadows and Search for the Stars
Medium: 36 soft pastel drawings, combined as one large-scale work

Size: 50×65 cm, total work 450×260

This drawing installation consists of 36 individual works that together form one monumental work. Each drawing captures a different mood, a different atmosphere, a different ambiance—ranging from the soft glow of early morning to the heavy silence of dusk and the vastness of night. The series is inspired by the simple but profound experience of lying in a field, looking up. At that moment—flat on your back, surrounded by grass and silence—the sky becomes everything. It expands above you, beyond you, transforming time and space into something fluid and infinite. The drawings attempt to capture that fleeting sensation, to give shape to a state of presence and introspection.

The title Walk to the Light, Dance with the Shadows and Search for the Stars speaks to the silent movements we all make—toward clarity, through darkness, in search of meaning. I am interested in how light and shadow interact not only in the environment, but also within ourselves. This project is a reflection on transitions—between day and night, between clarity and uncertainty, between inner and outer space. The sky becomes a metaphor for the things we cannot hold on to, but can feel deeply: time, melancholy, longing, change.

By presenting the drawings as a unified whole, I invite the viewer to take a step back and consider both the details and the totality—just as one might look at the sky itself.
